Technology Reflection

Real-Teacher Reasoning

Throughout college, and definitely throughout your career, you will learn so much that it's impossible to remember everything. I use my website as a repository for all my teacher learning. You'll use your Technology Reflection as a repository for all your EDU 276 learning. Each week, your homework assignment will be to practice and reflect upon an educational software. Each week, after practicing and using that software on a low-stakes, in-class assignment, for homework you'll create a Google Slide in which you summarize what the software is, share some possible classroom applications, and include some of the strengths and weaknesses. I provide a basic slide layout, but the best projects will change font, layout, and style to become a beautiful, complete embodiment of all your learning. Then, when it's time to interview, when a district asks if you have experience working with a certain educational software, you'll have proof that you do!

What do I need to turn in?

All you need to turn in for this project is a single Webpage that captures all your reflections. Each section should have at least:
  1. The title of the software.
  2. The software's logo, hyperlinked to the software itself when possible.
  3. A well-written paragraph summary of the software including, but not limited to:
    1. Capabilities
    2. User friendliness
    3. Description of the interface
    4. Possible classroom applications
  4. A bulleted or numbered list of the software's strengths.
  5. A bulleted or numbered list of the software's weaknesses.
  6. Any additional pertinent information that could prove you have knowledge of, and experience with the software:
    1. Links to materials you've created.
    2. Links to videos explaining the software.
    3. A quote from a student with whom you've worked using the software.
Picture
There should be at least one section per software we review, which means at least one section per week of the semester. While there might be some changes, the software we'll work with is listed below. Remember, don't do all the slides right before midterms, and then finals. Create the slides each week based on the software we work with during class.

How will I be graded?

Slides Content: 40%
Overall Quality: 20%
Writing Quality: 40%
This project is worth about 15% of your overall course score.

Exemplars of Actual, 100% Human Work
